Manager Accounting & Control
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Maintain Lamb Weston EMEA SOX Control Framework:
o Oversee compliance and ownership of the SOX control framework for Business & IT.
o Provide guidance on control design and ensure alignment with Lamb Weston reporting structures.
o Assess impacts of organizational changes on the EMEA SOX framework.
o Automate and streamline controls using workflow tools like ServiceNow.
o Ensure follow-up on identified action items and address gaps or deficiencies.
2. Adherence to Change Management Processes:
o Update & improve control procedures for Risk & Control Matrix releases and other changes.
o Harmonize EMEA control frameworks with global standards, emphasizing standardization and automation.
o Maintain relevance of the control framework by reviewing and managing change requests.
3. Governance, Risk & Compliance Management:
o Collaborate with compliance teams (Legal, Quality, Information Security) on risk management.
o Address emerging risks and ensure mitigation through embedded controls.
o Follow up on accounting/reporting errors to strengthen controls and prevent recurrence.
4. Control Reporting & Attestation:
o Monitor and report on control execution status.
o Coordinate control attestation processes for EMEA and support training sessions.
o Address control-related issues and serve as the primary point of contact for internal audit.
5. S/4HANA Readiness for SOX Framework:
o Ensure SOX compliance during project implementations.
o Safeguard local statutory compliance alongside global project requirements.
Qualifications and Competencies
• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• 5-10 years in an accounting & reporting or internal audit role.
• Knowledge and expertise regarding corporate governance and internal control frameworks.
• Familiarity with the food or agri-business industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English and preferably Dutch language.
• Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
