capex analyst

The Capex Analyst is vital for ensuring the financial success and compliance of capital projects by developing and implementing control plans, tracking progress, identifying risks, and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities include establishing budgets, monitoring costs, analyzing performance, mitigating risks, and providing financial support for effective project execution and reporting, ultimately optimizing asset care programs and supporting overall capital reporting for the EMEA business.

In this position you report to the CAPEX Controller . This fulltime position is based in Breda.

What do you do?

  • Support CAPEX Controller with overall EMEA monthly and quarterly capital reporting,
  • Support with Capital Investments budgeting process,
  • Support with aligning EMEA Capital process with US,
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of capital expenditure budgets.
  • Track and analyze CapEx spending, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with various departments to validate CapEx requests and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Support the preparation of financial models and forecasts for capital projects.
  • Ensure all capital expenditures comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements (SOX).
  • Participate in reviews related to capital spending and project management.
  • Assist in planning, coordination and maintenance of the budget process
  • Capital investments request preparation & business case validation,
  • Continuous improvements for Capital processes,
  • Project management activities including projection & orders creation, follow up, assets creation, forecast review, preparation of Journal entries.

What do you bring

  • Bachelor or Master level in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration or equivalent
  • At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a controlling role in an international environment, preferably FMCG / Agri / Agro companies
  • Financial understanding, strong numeric insight & analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an advanced knowledge of business concepts
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively managing those relationships
  • Problem-solving, analytical and prioritization skills
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written, secondary modern languages including Dutch are considered advantageous
