Twisters a la Bolognese
Ingredients
A fun twist on the classic Italian dish with rich flavours and an extra crunch
Serves 2
- 200g Lamb Weston Seasoned Twisters
- 15ml olive oil
- 1 diced onion
- 2 crushed cloves of garlic
- 200g minced beef
- 200ml tomato passata
- 5g mixed herbs
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 star anise
- Season to taste with salt and pepper
Garnish
- basil leaves
- 8g freshly grated Parmesan
Preparation
Method
- Fry the minced beef and onion in olive oil until brown.
- Stir in the garlic, mixed herbs, bay leaves and star anise.
- Add the tomato passata and simmer for 1 hour, adding a little water if the mix is too reduced.
- Fry or bake the Lamb Weston Seasoned Twisters until golden brown and place int a suitable serving bowl (Airfy: 10-18mins at 180 °C / Oven: 20mins at 200°C / Fry: 3:30mins at 175 °C).
- Top with the Bolognese sauce and garnish with torn basil leaves and freshly grated Parmesan.
