As a Lead Planner you are responsible for creating and driving the realization of the plant’s cycle plan for one of the production sites in the Dutch production network (i.e. the planning of production of finished product, semi-finished, potato need and other components taking into account the various capacities, capabilities, restrictions and other variables in the 0-6 wks horizon. Given the high interdependency across plants and lines in the Dutch network, the Lead Planner ensures the plant’s cycle plan is aligned with the total network plan, both when building the initial plan and during execution by initiating preventive and corrective actions in case of deviations
The Lead Planner reports to the Manager Operational control tower, but has a strong dotted line into the plant leadership and holds office in Kruiningen and plant Kruiningen/Bergen op zoom plant for several days a week.
What do you do?
Build the plant’s initial cycle plan that supports the overall network plan and is optimized between service, production efficiencies and potato valorisation (i.e. the planning of production of finished product, semi-finished, potato need and other components taking into account the various capacities, capabilities, restrictions and other variables). This includes a detailed machine planning which is the basis for timing of inbound components and plant clearance;
The Lead Planner oversees and controls a total plan and KPI performance in a complex setting where multiple roles and departments need to contribute to ensure delivery on the plan. It is essential that the Lead Planner engages with these stakeholders, that they understand the plan and their role, and coordinates cooperation across stakeholders to deliver an aligned plan;
Manage the stocklevels and production linerates of the production location.
Participate in the department’s Performance Control System (PCS) in which service, production efficiencies and potato valorisation are optimized across the NL network;
Adopt and implement advanced tooling in the area of production planning to further professionalize and automate the lead planner function;
In the coming years a big transformation will take place in the operational control tower in terms of processes, tooling and capabilities. The Lead Planner participates in these (big) projects and will lead related sub projects and implementation of the changes.
Provide weekend support within a consignment schedule and working in weekends once every 4 weeks
What do you bring?
BSc level educational background in supply-chain or related discipline
3-5 year work experience in complex supply-chain planning environment
Experience with planning concepts and advanced planning/scheduling/ERP tooling
Strong stakeholder skills to ensure plan adherence and systematic performance improvement
Fluent in Dutch and English
