French Onion Soup with Twister Fries
Ingredients
Classic French flavours with tangy Gruyere cheese and crunchy Seasoned Twisters
Serves 2
- 200g Lamb Weston Seasoned Twisters
- 25g butter
- 2 sliced onions
- 15ml tomato puree
- 500ml good quality beef stock
- Fresh rosemary
- Fresh thyme
- 2 bay leaves
Garnish
- 15ml chopped parsley
- 25g grated Gruyere cheese
Preparation
Method
- Gently fry your sliced onion in the butter until a deep golden colour.
- Add the tomato puree and stir well.
- Add the beef stock, thyme, rosemary and bay leaves and simmer for 20mins.
- Season to taste.
- Fry or bake your Lamb Weston Seasoned Twisters until golden (Airfy: 10-18mins at 180 °C / Oven: 20mins at 200°C / Fry: 3:30mins at 175 °C).
- Spoon a generous amount of French onion soup into a warm bowl.
- Top with Seasoned Twisters, grated Gruyere cheese and serve.
